    I quoted this today to a somewhat arrogant German student in my class who had commented that two of the other Germans were stupid.
    I don’t think he really got it!

    I not only live in hope but have been pleasantly surprised by said student today. Having also chided him for being rude and churlish with another German, a girl, the other day, today he says to let her have the sweet I was giving as a reward!!!
    There is hope in this world!
